Groups & Offerings

At Creative Directions, groups are designed to give clients, families, and professionals more ways to connect, grow, and receive support. Some groups are clinical therapy groups, while others focus more on skill-building, prevention, education, or professional development. Each offering is structured a little differently depending on the purpose, age group, location, and provider.

Mental Health Groups

Mental health groups are therapy-based services facilitated by licensed or supervised mental health professionals. These groups may focus on emotional regulation, anxiety, trauma, social connection, identity, peer relationships, play therapy, geek therapy, animal-assisted therapy, or other therapeutic goals. These groups may be billable through insurance when clinically appropriate.

Behavioral Health Groups

Behavioral health groups are skills-based or prevention-focused services. These may support clients with things like coping skills, social skills, routines, parenting tools, life skills, emotional regulation, and family support. These groups are not the same as mental health therapy, but they can still provide meaningful support, especially for clients who may be waiting for individual therapy or who need additional skill-building support. Medicaid may be billed for eligible clients.

Virtual Groups

Virtual groups are offered virtually and may include therapy groups, parent support, skill-building groups, or educational groups. These options can be a good fit for clients or families who need more flexibility, live farther away, or prefer to participate from home. Some virtual groups may be best suited for older children, teens, adults, or caregivers depending on the structure of the group.

Professional Webinars & Trainings

Professional webinars and trainings are designed for therapists, clinicians, educators, and other helping professionals who want to expand their knowledge and practice. These offerings may include topics such as ecotherapy, geek therapy, child and adolescent mental health, regulation, creativity, play, and other approaches that support meaningful, engaged care.
