Kyra Logsdon is the founder and owner of Creative Directions Counseling & Consulting, established in April 2020. With a passion for embracing unique and alternative approaches to therapy, Kyra created Creative Directions as a space where authenticity, playfulness, and creativity are at the heart of the therapeutic process. Her vision includes integrating unconventional methods to ensure that therapy feels engaging and personalized rather than rigid or overly clinical.
Kyra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Arizona State University and her Master of Social Work in Community Organization, Planning, and Administration from the University of Southern California. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts and a PhD in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, reflecting her deep commitment to learning and expanding her expertise.
In 2024, Kyra expanded her vision by founding Pathways to Wellness, a program that embraces whole-person wellness beyond traditional mental health therapy. Pathways to Wellness offers opportunities for growth and connection through events like Tarot Tuesdays, journaling workshops, yoga, metaphysical practices, and even skincare education. This expansion reflects Kyra’s belief in the importance of integrating mind, body, and spirit for comprehensive healing.
As a therapist, Kyra specializes in child-centered play therapy, synergetic play therapy, and Jungian play therapy techniques. She identifies as an intuitive play therapist, tailoring her approach to meet each client where they are and exploring whatever methods resonate best. Her work is grounded in the belief that therapy thrives when it’s genuine, flexible, and open to exploration.
Kyra’s interest in esoteric and metaphysical practices, such as tarot and energy work, complements her clinical work, adding depth and insight to her holistic approach. She enjoys weaving these elements into her practice, encouraging clients to explore self-discovery and connection on multiple levels.
Beyond her professional life, Kyra is an avid animal lover with a home filled with ducks, chickens, snakes, birds, cats, and dogs. Her playful and creative spirit extends to her hobbies, including Dungeons & Dragons, board games, video games, reading, and continuously learning. She thrives in environments that challenge her perspectives and enjoys connecting with others in meaningful ways.
Kyra’s mission is to inspire others to embrace their authentic selves, to see therapy as a collaborative and transformative journey, and to foster a sense of connection, creativity, and growth in every session.
